JBT07 series Bubble Pressure Tensiometer
The JBT07 series Bubble Pressure Tensiometer analyzes the mobility of surfactants based on the dynamic surface tension (SFT). Dynamic surface tension is measured based on the Laplace pressure of a gas bubble at a capillary in a liquid.
Working Principle
The liquid under test is placed in a sample container, and a specially designed capillary is immersed in the liquid. This capillary is connected to a sensitive pressure sensor. During the test, air or inert gas passes through the capillary, forming a bubble at the end of the capillary, and the pressure of this bubble is continuously measured.
The bubble pressure reaches its maximum value when the bubble radius at the capillary end is equal to the capillary radius. Once the bubble radius exceeds the capillary radius, the bubble pressure decreases significantly. The maximum pressure of the bubbles is proportional to the dynamic surface tension. The hydrostatic pressure P0 is proportional to the immersion depth of the capillary and can be subtracted from the measured pressure. The measured result corresponds to the surface tension at a certain lifespan of a bubble. If the flow rate of the gas is increased, the frequency at which bubbles are produced increases, and the lifespan of each bubble decreases accordingly. JBT07 series Bubble Pressure Tensiometer can automatically plot the surface tension versus bubble lifespan curve or measure the surface tension value of a specified bubble lifespan.

The JBT07 series bubble pressure tensiometer requires a computer to operate. The computer can be supplied by the manufacturer or the user. If the user provides their own computer, a native vacant COM port (RS232 serial port) is required. Desktops, all-in-ones, and laptops are all acceptable.
